What a pleasant surprise, just the basics but, very clean and the owner greeted us at arrival and offered us any site we wanted. This is a half-way-stop for us from Louisiana to Georgia and we planned on a "Flying J over-niter" but, will add this as our regular stop. We paid the PassPort America $15 rate.
Nice "new" addition to the ROD net-work. We arrived at the end of the season so there were several sites to select at this CG. The CG is very wooded but not as dramatic as reported by others....but, you do have to pay attention to what your are doing (you can see it by the marks on some of the trees). We like interior paved roads for walking our pooch. We would stay here again.
A nice park: a lake, fish, beach, BB court, tennis court, new updated restrooms & W/D (W/D was very expensive). This campground offers propane, and firewood for assigned pits at each site. The MH spots are basically stone, which is dusty and hard to walk on. The grass area is nice: walked the pooch there, but be sure to pick-up, the owner watches and you should do this anyway! There was plenty of room between motorhomes. The shaded area is basically for the trailers, 5vrs's or smaller MH's; they have a good area to park, plus grass sites for patio's. DeKalb is 10 minutes away with all the restaurants and shopping you need (good Chinese Buffet near-by). CG charges extra for guests: $2 a visit and $5 per day if they stay over-night...kinda over-kill. The owner is not to friendly, but chalked this up to poor people skills. We would come back.
We were here over a week-end and although we had Passport America it did not apply for W/E stay...typical of PA. The CG and owner were nice and helped in every way....gave us W,E and Cable (we did not pay for septic) but worked that in with PA discount for one day. We would stay here again.
Finally, a "Resort" !! We stayed here on RPI membership and this is a 5 ++ star CG. Everything you can think of is available. Some "full timer live-in's" but very well maintained. They have a Pet-Side and No-Pet side of CG. We visited Mt Rushmore and the Badlands, etc. If we lived closer we would join their full membership and would camp here again.
Nice CG near the Amish Shipshewana Flea Market (6-7 miles away). There are two sides to this park...the CG side closer to the pool, mini-golf, and the office are very small and although we drove our 40' MH thru this side looking for a site (with very low tree branches, etc) we elected to the side across the street. We found a large site on the corner of where mostly seasonals (very nice set-up) spend the summer. Our rate was for electric and water only. The rate was via our TT ELS membership....we would come back.
Dust and poor gravel roads are the key words to describe this CG. Also, while I am a TT member I don't like paying an extra $3 for 50amp service...not a lot of money but I already paid $4k for membership and another $500+ a year for member dues. The entrance & clubhouse is very impressive, as in most TT parks, but once inside not that same "curb appeal" applied to your actual camping site. I am getting the impression that most TT CG's are getting tired and the money to get them to respectable resorts is not there under the current management. Seems like to much of that money has been spent on other resort purchases. I hope someone from TT management gets to read this review.
The River front sites are mostly 30amp and seems to be for the Western Horizon members. We are ROD and were assigned to the upper level: a very open, big field with grass grown through the road network. We can hardly see the road. It's in the same area where the work campers live. Not all that impressive for a membership RV Resort: we expected more, after making that commitment and putting down big bucks for membership attention. The Cafe Rest was in need of repair, so the deck seating area was closed. In fact, the entire resort needs some attention. We would not return to this park or area. It is very limited, unless you like to take a boat ride or fish.
We were here a week, so the wkly rate applied. Very nice CG, well maintained and right in the middle of Amish Country. We use the Verizon cell and PC air card that worked perfectly. Very cool at night and the CG provided fire pits and free wood to enjoy. The interior road network is a "crush and run" type material and very solid, no holes, etc (if you have that pooch that does not like to walk on stone roads, like ours)...lots of room for the pet to walk. Oh yea, no showers, toilets, tents. We will return here again.
CG has 3 sections...first all stone (cannot tell the difference from the road to the camp-site), the 2nd up a bit of a hill and very well planned and nice for big rigs as it the 3rd section down in a valley with lots of grass and well established roads. No baths or showers or tenting allowed. This CG is right in the middle of the Amish Country activity. We will return for a longer stay next year.
The WWW says the CG is closed due to high lake levels. We did not call further to make resv.
=====================
This information is wrong. I called the correct phone number 940-455-2228 and campground is open with no problems. Also the website address was wrong as well as the phone number. Correct web address and phone in place now.

We had some friends visit this CG and experienced the same as we did two years ago....the dust has turned to "pot holes", the young children still run the office check-in, the owner only available when problems. Our friends did not want to write to this RV Review...just kiss off this place but, their attitude in the way we were treated left such a bad taste in our mouth we had to write on their behalf. If you are looking for CG in that area....go 3 miles further and look in Trenton, Me area the stress level will be much better than Hospitality. This CG needs to "sell out" and let someone with interest run it ! We and our friends will NEVER stay here again !!!
New CG with paved roads. Many sites are not level, we had to move 3 times to get (sort of) level, but not major issue, lots of space. Most campers are overniters but about 80% of regulars are working on a const project... nice group of people! We will go to this CG on our next visit to the area.
Previous camper did not mention that this is a member only resort. "NO" overniters or weekly accomodations. Only completed $ rate and overall rating to gain access to review site.
